"Many
were present for that fateful day when one of our beloved
class members used the pointed end of his shovel to 'discover'
the whereabouts of the main line for the sprinkler system
at the Grace home project. I will never forget walking
up to the house to see water bubbling up out of the ground,
much like oil did at the start of every episode
of The Beverly Hillbillies.
In
any event, a small repair job soon became a big one that
outstripped the talent and confidence of every person
gathered at that hole. What happened next is the reason
for this email... Demonstrating excellent decision-making
skills, Paul grabbed the YellowPages and started calling.
After the fire hydrant repair company turned him down
(I'm not making this up) Paul called the friendly folks
at Mustang Contracting of Dallas. Mind you, this was on
a
very hot summer day.
Within
no time, Shafford McKinney, the owner himself, arived
to rescue and render aide. When he learned who we were
and what we were doing, he not only spent a couple of
hours putting everything back together, he actually discounted
the bill. You should know that the guys were gathered
around watching in amazement as he magically restored
that main line. What can I say... it's a 'guy thing'.
You should also know that every time one of us offered
to help him, he said "no, no that's alright. Thanks
though'. Wise man...
Anyway,
one good deed deserves another. Should you ever need repair
or installation of a sprinkler system,
I urge you to consider Mr. Mckinney's company. I have
nothing but appreciation for his help that day."
